Bucerius Summer Programs – Scholarships & Discounts

Dear Students,

Bucerius Law School is offering a 3-week summer programs. There are special scholarships and discounts available. Please find the details below for your information.

Dates:  July 1 – 19, 2024
Application Deadline: May 1, 2024

Discounts & Scholarships:

  • 30% tuition discount for students from Bucerius partner universities
  • 50% “bring a friend discount” for students who apply and are admitted together with a friend or colleague (they don’t have to enroll in the same program)
  • 1 100% tuition scholarship per program for an academically outstanding student who can also demonstrate a financial need

Target audience

Advanced law students and young professionals. They are expected to have at least basic knowledge of the subject matter through having taken a course in the field or having had exposure to the field through work experience (incl. internships and externships)

Programs:

Courses offered (1 ABA / 2 ECTS each): Corporate Governance in Publicly Traded Companies, International Business & Corporate Sustainability, International Business Transactions, International Commercial Arbitration, International Commercial Litigation and Negotiation.

This program includes a visit to the International Tribunal of the Law of the Sea in Hamburg.

Participants participate in a set curriculum for a total of 5 ABA/ 10 ECTS credits. List of courses. The program is offered in cooperation with UC Law San Francisco and WIPO. This program includes multiple site visits and negotiation workshops.

Application process

Applicants apply via an online platform. They have to provide a verifiable transcript (alternative: transcript can be emailed by a university administrator) and a photo for a student directory. They are asked to answer questions about their motivation for the chosen program, international experience, extracurricular activities etc.


Additional costs

Tuition does not cover travel, accommodation or meals. Bucerius has a very affordable cafeteria and coffee shop. The International Office offers support in finding accommodation by providing useful resources but sadly, Bucerius Law School does not have any dormitory housing for the summer programs.
