Call for Student Coaches – Mock Trial Justice Education Project

Dear all,

Greetings from the team of Mock Trial- Justice Education Project. This is Ariella from the Project team. As per my email on 10/8, I am writing to invite Year 3 or above law students (LLB) to be coaches of our primary school participants once again. We are still looking for 12 coaches more to kick off. It will be much appreciated if you could help spread the promotion materials in your department.

Mock Trial Justice Education Project started in 2007. The project aims to nurture our next generation’s understanding of justice and rule of law with a full year of programmes, mock trial competitions, and education workshops. This year, we are more than delighted to share with you that with the funding support from Beat Drugs Fund, we will launch a 2-year project Beat Drugs@Mock Trial 2.0. There are several highlights for your reference:

  • Coaches are only required to provide 4 sessions of training (1-1.5 hours per session) to primary school participants in 4 months’ time, while the training schedule could be discussed with schools according to coaches’ availability
  • Coaches will be trained and supported by experienced legal professionals and project staff throughout the whole project

We believe it will be a win-win event. As primary school students can learn from your students, as well as law students can understand more the legal system comprehensively and anti-drug knowledge. Attached please find the poster and the enrollment details. For more information about the project, please visit our website (click here).

Please be noticed that the application deadline is 10/9/2021. We look forward to seeing your students at our upcoming events. Upon any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me at 2877 8308. Thank you so much.

Best Regards,
Ariella Leung
